A Season of Resistance

[Synopsis]
Araki, a cleaning instructor, is asked by his older sister Yoshiko, who is raising her 11-year-old son alone, to help her abandon the child. She confesses that she is exhausted and no longer wants to live with her son.
Tormented by the request, Araki tries to persuade her to reconsider.
A solo performance depicting resistance against life itself.

While continuing to work primarily as a film director, I sought to challenge myself as a performer and initiated this project, taking on the roles of writer, director, and actor.
Drawing on a long-standing interest in adolescent boy, the solo-performance format was used to explore what it means to live alone.
