[Synopsis]
Hayakawa, a surrogate mother, carries in her womb a fertilized egg made from the sperm of an unmarried man, Imamura, and the egg of a donor he has chosen.
Hayakawa and Imamura have never met, and a surrogacy coordinating company is in charge of all the arrangements for the two.
One day, due to a mistake by the company, it is discovered that the egg used is not from the donor Imamura has chosen, but someone else’s…

The impetus for making this film came from my interest in whether it was possible to empathize with the body of a pregnant woman.
I aimed to create an experimental and dramatic piece by combining silent footage of pregnant women with a story that would go along with the footage.
